When we strolled through the small town of Banner Elk, NC, after Hurricane Helene, we noticed an older lady working outside of her ravaged home.
We approached her and asked, "Is this your home ma'am?" Her response, "What's left of it."
That initial question led David and his team into a hour-long discussion with the lady and her incredible story of survival.
